Open communication is a cornerstone of our people relations. At BenQ Materials, a wide array of communication channels is available, from labor-management meetings and discussion forums for factory personnel to various forms of complaints mailboxes, a mobile app and, in China, labor unions and welfare committee meetings.
Personal employee information is kept strictly confidential, and where a complaint/incident has been reported, used for that purpose only. We foster a corporate environment that respects, cares for and safeguards human rights, protects the rights of labor organizations and collective bargaining, and promotes healthy and positive labor relations.
In 2021, an anonymous satisfaction survey was conducted for all employees. With an overall response rate of 77.5%, the satisfaction rate was 87.4%. Eight out of eleven areas were better than the previous survey results, and the satisfaction rate for the two main areas of supervisory support and communication was as high as 93%, reflecting the payoffs from our investment in creating a workplace where careers can thrive and where open communications is encouraged. Going forward, these surveys will be conducted every one to two years to enhance this feedback loop.
