- Z.C. Chen
Dr. ZC Chen is Chairman of BenQ Materials. He has over 20 years of experience in materials science, electronic components and new business development.
Prior to his appointment as Chairman of BenQ Materials in October 2013, Dr. Chen was the Executive Vice President of Darfon Electronics Corp. During his tenure in Darfon, Dr. Chen has been assigned for different positions responsible for components business, global manufacturing, new technologies and new business development. Before joining Darfon Electronics (BenQ Group) in 1997, Dr. Chen served as Research Scientist and Product Development Manager in Philips Germany and Philips Taiwan. Dr. Chen is also known for his scientific contribution in piezoelectric and dielectric ceramics with published papers and patents.
Dr. Chen received his PhD in Materials Science from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland, and Master’s degree in Materials Science from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA.。
- Ray Liu
Ray Liu, President of BenQ Materials, received his Ph.D of Electro-Optical Engineering in National Chiao Tung University.
He joined BenQ Materials in 1998. Liu rotated to serve as the senior manager of CD-ROM R&D Department, Factory Director and Associate Vice President in 2005 and 2006.
Liu was promoted to be President in 2017. He has been in charge of the Functional Film Business Group.

- Oliver Liu
Oliver Liu, Vice President of BenQ Materials, received Master’s degree of Electro-Optical Engineering from National Chiao Tung University.
Liu joined BenQ Materials in 1997, first served as CD-ROM R&D Senior Manager in 2001 and served as the Director of Polarizer Plant and Associate Vice President in 2005. After that, Liu leads R&D team, from the optical storage technology to today’s R&D and application of polarizing film to create independent research and development capability.
Because of his outstanding performance and contribution to the striking, in 2009 Liu was promoted as Vice President of Advanced Tech. R&D Center, in charge of all the future product and technology research.
